Our Philosophy
BPsychSci / MOrgPsych, FDRP, Psychologist, Accredited Mediator
At Guided Clarity, I believe every family deserves a calm, confidential space to work through difficult decisions with dignity. As a psychologist and nationally accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, I combine therapeutic insight with structured mediation to guide conversations that are respectful, practical, and future-focused.
My approach is grounded in neutrality, compassion, and evidence-based practice. I support each person to feel heard and empowered, while helping families find a plan forward - without court. Whether you’re navigating parenting arrangements or want to improve communication patterns, my role is to walk alongside you with care, curiosity, and a steady hand.

FAQs
-
No. Mediation can be held in person, online, or using a shuttle format—where parties are in separate rooms or Zoom meetings, and the mediator moves between them. We’ll discuss the best format for your needs during intake.
-
Shuttle mediation involves the mediator working with each person separately, either in different rooms or online breakout spaces. It’s commonly used in family mediation—especially when two people have separated or are divorcing—and is helpful in situations where there is high conflict, safety concerns, or where one or both parties feel more comfortable not speaking directly to each other.
-
Mediation sessions typically run for 3-4 hours, but may vary depending on the complexity of your situation. Some families reach agreement in one session; others may require multiple. We’ll also schedule intake appointments beforehand to prepare.
-
A Section 60I Certificate is a document issued by an accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner. It shows that you’ve made a genuine attempt to resolve parenting matters through mediation and may be required if you apply to the Family Court.
-
If full agreement isn’t reached, we’ll document any partial agreements and provide guidance on your next steps. You may also be issued a Section 60I Certificate, which can be used if you decide to pursue court proceedings.
-
Mediation is often faster, more affordable, and less stressful than going to court. It gives you more control over the outcome, rather than having a decision imposed by a judge. Mediation also supports respectful communication and helps preserve relationships—particularly important when children are involved. Agreements reached through mediation are often more practical and durable because they are shaped by the people who will be living with them.
-
Not at this stage. Property and financial mediation is something we plan to offer in the near future. If you’d like to be notified when this service becomes available, please feel free to get in touch.
